How do you start to write?

Help students turn a blank page into a successful writing assignment.

Before students can compose a sentence, paragraph or full essay, they must understand the fundamental principles that guide those assignments. How do you start to write? What are the steps of the writing process? How do you turn a sentence into a paragraph? How do you organize complex paragraphs? This class helps educators of all disciplines show students how to write for the classroom and beyond. In "Standardized Essay Writing Skills PD," K-12 educators seeking professional development hours can refresh their knowledge of academic writing and help students turn a blank page into a successful writing assignment. This self-paced class is delivered online and does not require attendance in a physical location. The course is offered all year round without date or clock time restrictions. However, participants receive three (3) months of access to complete the course after registration. In order to receive a certificate, all lessons must be completed at 100% before the course expires in three (3) months after registration.
