Proofreading is a highly marketable skill.

Help students produce error-free documents.

Although often neglected, proofreading is actually the last step of the writing process that all writers must complete before submitting documents for publication or review. How many times have students lost points on assignments due to careless errors? The "Proofreading Skill Builder" online training course introduces educators to the discipline of proofreading. Each video lesson, exercise and quiz reflect the fundamental duties of a proofreader. When teachers understand the process of proofreading, they can help students connect this activity to the final stage of the writing process. Teachers can also convey the importance of proofreading, since even simple mistakes can be costly, especially on job or scholarship applications. K-12 licensed Arkansas educators seeking professional development hours can refresh their knowledge of grammar and language rules to help students correct errors and successfully complete all stages of the writing process.
