Diversity & inclusion are important to business growth.

Workplace writing should be respectful of all people and cultures.

The online course, "Diversity in Workplace Writing," illustrates how to identify and avoid language bias by analyzing real case studies of agencies that have fallen victim to bias. Every lesson shows alternate ways to write objectively. Although we cannot control people's (mis)interpretations of our writing, we can ensure that it meets current standards of decency when referencing race, sex, gender, orientation, age, medical condition or disability.

As a result of taking this class, you will:
  • Understand the definition of unconscious or implicit bias.
  • Understand the definitions of language and workplace bias.
  • Get specific tips on correcting biased writing.
  • Demonstrate comprehension by scoring 75%+ on all course quizzes.
