Diversity & inclusion are important to educational success.

Help students be respectful of all people and cultures in their writing assignments.

The online course, "Diversity in Content Writing," illustrates how to identify and avoid language bias by analyzing real case studies of agencies that have fallen victim to bias. Every lesson shows alternate ways to write objectively. Although we cannot control people's (mis)interpretations of our writing, we can ensure that it meets current standards of decency when referencing race, sex, gender, orientation, age, medical condition or disability. This self-paced class is delivered completely online and does not require attendance in a physical location. The course is offered all year round without date or clock time restrictions. However, participants receive 90 days of access to complete the course after registration. In order to receive a certificate, all lessons must be completed at 100% before the course expires in 90 days after registration.
